As I type this the weather is sour and it has been raining pretty much non stop for 24 hours. What a stark contrast to last Saturday, the day of Cars and Coffee. Unlike the previous, slightly damp, February edition the March edition was graced with perfect weather. 70F, sun and not much wind at all.

This is a recipe for an excellent turnout, and it was. The lot was packed, and many super clean cars attended. I spent the longest time ever finding a parking spot, and with me many others. I really should come half an hour earlier, I bet parking would be a lot easier. But I digress.

Even the Miura came back, and I can’t get enough footage of that car! I loved the Twin Turbo V8 Lotus Esprit and that is the main reason why it got on the cover. Unique, and that exhaust note is heavenly!

I switched up the format ever so slightly. I added music at the first stationary shots. Faded out the music once I got to the cars rolling slowly trough the lot, allowing us to hear the awesome exhaust notes that no music tune could ever beat. And last but not least the departure reel portion. Please tell me what you think vs my older videos if you have watched any!

So how does a guy get in on the cars and coffee info pipeline in Dallas?

As in when it is? First Saturday of every month. Beyond that I just follow their facebook, and that of other C&C reporters.

Okay, thanks. I’ve heard the kids talking about this Face-thingy. Guess it’s time to wade in.

Fellow Dutchman here.

I always like these videos! One thing i’d like to see is if you stand on the inside of the turn, so you get a shot of the car from the front and turn with it when it drives away.

But as always, great video.

That shot leads you right in the sun, as you could see in the shots where I pan the roadway. And then there is the fact that I would have to turn and pan over 180 degrees, which is a litteral pain in the back and will also produce very jarring shots as I have to overextend my back. From where I am I can show the fronts of the cars too, but only if they have an unobstructed way out. If they don’t and they stop I got to cut out the fronts and just show the rear.

Good points though, I might include more of those shots despite the back ache they cause to get right.
